Catholic Schools Week is an all-Ireland annual event which invites Catholic schools to give expression in a special way to the ethos of Catholic education. As part of this special week, to acknowledge the great work that grandparents do, and the important role that they play in the lives of their grandchildren we hosted Grandparents’ day on Wednesday 29th January.
Our grandparents visited the girls in their classrooms. The girls asked questions on various topics and found out so much about their grandparents’ lives when they were young, and the differences to life as a child today. The girls sang and said poems and some went to the yard to play.
Grandparents’ Day was a very exciting, enjoyable and memorable day for the girls and their grandparents!
