We at Belgrove are working hard to make well-being an integral part of the teaching and learning in our school. We know that the well-being of our pupils and teachers is key to creating a happy and positive atmosphere in our school. It is vital in helping our pupils feel confident and reach their full potential.
During ‘Well-Being Week’ we put particular focus on our pupils’ and staff’s well-being through engagement in activities that centre on physical activities, mindfulness practices, self-awareness, belonging and positive affirmations.
Activities include;
- Fostering a sense of belonging and community: Creating a school community tree to be displayed in the school
- Promoting mindfulness and physical Activity: Engaging in a mindfulness and affirmations walkway around the school
- Promoting mindfulness and physical Activity: Yoga workshops with Aoife of Patch Yoga
- Fostering a sense of belonging and community: Halloween school disco
- Promoting mindfulness and physical Activity: Classroom movement and mindfulness breaks
- Promoting self-awareness: Reading books covering feelings, relationships and other relevant S.P.H.E. topics
